Research programme at SIBM intends to bring industry and academics close to each other. Scholarly inputs are provided to those who have a realm knowledge that bridges the gap by linking the practical knowledge among the students as well as faculty, as per the trend requisite in the industry. Broad objective is to build up high quality research in the branch of management. However, the specific objectives are:

  • To provide researchers with crucial skills to ascertain intricate issues and contribute to the application of knowledge in the field of management.
  • To do research publications at international standards in inter-disciplinary areas of management which add importance to the society and body of knowledge.
  • To encourage faculty and students to publish research papers in reputed journals and also to publish monographs and books.
  • To develop highly skilled individuals with exceptional analytical capability.
  • To hold the conferences & workshops.
  • To promote faculty and students for research.

Code of Ethics

SIBM is committed to support giving conducive environment and advice to maintain the highest standards of publication ethics for research. Author(s) submitting manuscript(s) / working at SIBM shall go for publication has to abide by the terms of plagiarism free content. In order to support publication ethics, it is important for authors to avoid Plagiarism, redundant publications and data fabrication.


Authors must not take any thought and opus of others without giving them due credit, as it is unjust and untruthful. Authors must not copy sentences or paragraphs from someone others’ original content, or even one of their own that has earlier published papers, without proper citation, so that must be plagiarism-free.


Authors must not reuse parts of their previous writings by make use of identical or nearly alike paragraphs or even statements from earlier writings in succeeding manuscript, without reference or mention or acknowledgement. Authors must not fabricate multiple manuscripts, which are even insignificant variations on each other, which are agreed to be published to different publishers. Authors must not put forth numerous terribly similar manuscripts supported matching experiment.

Authors must not use already prepared data by others. Authors must do the original study. Authors must not amend some of the data of study, as the practice make people distrust.

 Some of the prominent principles enlisted are as follows:

Principle A: Beneficence and Non maleficence

Everyone should strive to benefit those with whom they work and take care to do no harm them. In the professional actions, employees seek to protect the well being and rights of those with whom they intermingle professionally. They should exercise Beneficence so as to improve the environment.

Principle B: Fidelity and Responsibility:

Everyone should establish bonds of trust and reliance with those with whom they work. They are attentive of their professional and scientific responsibilities to society and to the specific communities in which they work. They should encourage professional standards of demeanour, clarify their professional roles and responsibility, accept appropriate accountability for their behaviour, and seek to manage disagreements of interest that could lead to exploitation or harm.

Principle C: Integrity 

Everyone should seek to promote correctness, truthfulness, and faithfulness in the science and teaching.  They should strive to keep their promises and avoid unwise or unclear commitments. In situations in which deception may be ethically justifiable to maximize benefits and minimize harm.

Principle D: Justice 

Employees should recognize that justice and righteousness entitle all persons to access to and benefit from the contributions and to equal quality in the practices, measures, and services. They should exercise reasonable judgment and take precautions to ensure that their potential favouritism, the boundaries of their competence.

Principle E: Respect for People’s Rights and Dignity 

Employees should respect the decorum and the rights of individuals to privacy, secrecy, and self-determination. Professors should aware that special protection may be necessary to guard the rights and welfare of persons or communities whose susceptibility damage autonomous decision making.


The mandates at SIBM Research Center are:

  • To organize and propose research proposal for external funding by various authorities and SIBM board.
  • To generate database that help out and add to the knowledge of academicians as well as students.
  • To edit and publish research reports in the form of SIBM research Journals.
  • To uphold profile of research and researchers at the university and at national level. 
  • To carry out research projects from AICTE, SavatribaiPhule Pune University.
